Welcome to Springburn Harriers

springburn harriers scottish athletics podium award winner

The Springburn Harriers was instituted in 1893 as a general amateur athletic club, but concentrated on cross-country running. The diamond-shaped emblem used by the club was an adaptation of the trademark of the Springburn locomotive works. Situated in the north of Glasgow/Bishopbriggs the club has been a prominent member in the Western Districts running circuit. With a broad range of athletes supporting the club and an renewed, revitalised Junior section we can cater to an array of skills, abilities and ages.

Regular senior training sessions are on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s, 7:15pm at Allan Glens Rugby Club, Bishopbriggs. We mix these sessions into Track and Medium distance running. Then a Long Run session on Sunday Mornings. As the Junior programme changes regularly please see the Juniors Page for the current curriculum. We have several Scottish Athletics Certified Coaches and Jog leaders within the club to offer advice, advise on training and oversee the midweek sessions.
